On 2 February, the inter-hospital association of Ardennes, assisted by Socofit, entrusted its laundry service to the group made up of Auxifip, a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole Leasing specialising in the financing of public bodies, and Gespace France (Dalkia group).
This work will take place in Sedan (08). The overall budget of this operation is €9,200,000 excluding taxes, and the regional office of Crédit Agricole Nord Est is acting as the co-financer.
The management board of the inter-hospital association has given its consent to the group for a hospital long-term lease for a term of 25 years plus a period of 27 months necessary to prepare the structure. During this period, the design, construction, financing, building maintenance, upkeep, and replacement of laundry equipment will take place. The facilities are expected to be available in March 2008.
The laundry facility, with a relevant area of 2,605 m2, will allow 10 tonnes of linen to be processed each day and will function at the hands of 36 hospital officials assisted by Gespace's maintenance team made up of four technicians.
After the construction of the retirement home of the hospital centre in Laval (53) and the partial reconstruction of the hospital in Sainte-Ménéhould (51), this is the third contract won by Auxifip as part of the "Hôpital 2007" modernisation plan. Legislation adopted in September 2003 (the "Mattéi" order) allows a person to appeal to the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in the health sector in order to accelerate and outsource the realisation of its real estate investments.
